Modi violates election code of conduct? Lawyer files complaint

A Delhi lawyer has approached the Election Commission against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging poll code violations. In the letter, the lawyer accused the Prime Minister of appealing to the voters to vote for the BJP, ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.n a letter to the poll body, the lawyer alleged PM Narendra Modi asked for votes in the name of Hindu deities and places of worship, as well as Sikh deities and places of worship, thus violating the Model Code of Conduct.

Earlier, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut accued PM Modi of violation of code and coduct by using his office for campaigning for the BJP, ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.He also asked the Election Commission to send the bills to the BJP if public resources were being used by PM Modi to seek votes for the party.He also asked the Election Commission to send the bills to the BJP if public resources were being used by PM Modi to seek votes for the party.

A complaint was also filed against Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, alleging he violated the model code of conduct by offering money to all ration cardholders during the ongoing election campaign.
